General Canine Vaccination Schedule
(Consult with your local veterinarian for schedule in your area)
I recommend deworming your puppy every 4-6 weeks. Internal
parasites can be contracted by your puppy walking in the
grass....

A combination vaccine, often called a "5-way" usually includes
adenovirus cough and hepatitis, distemper, parainfluenza and
parvovirus. Some combination vaccines may also include
leptospirosis ("7-way" ) and/or coronavirus. The inclusion of
either canine adenovirus-1 or adenovirus-2 in a vaccine will
protect against adenovirus cough and hepatitis: adenovirus-2 is
highly preferred.

Some puppies may need additional vaccinations against parvovirus
after 15 weeks of age. Consult with your local veterinarian. Be
aware....just because your puppy has had all required shots,
it is not 100% guaranteed your puppy will not get sick.
~ Typically at 16 weeks of age your puppy should have had
all 3 sets of puppy booster shots and is ready to explore and
venture into the world. At this time you may go visit doggie
parks, and congested areas, that before were considered off
limits to your new puppy.~
My puppies will have their shots on their 6 & 8 week birthdays.
This way it is easy to remember, even if you leave your notes at home when you
take your new puppy to the vet!
